Right now it’s not a question of if our data will be compromised, but when. We’ve made no appreciable efforts toward data security, and management won’t give be the budget to do it myself
So I’ve been taking some time to learn about Corporate Data Security, to see if there;s a way I can convince my boss of its importance. Why is it that the idiots always end up in charge?
Naturally they’ll all be pointing the finger at me if we have a major breach, despite their refusal to implement the changes I’m asking for. Sh*t rolls down hill.

Right now it’s not a question of if our data will be compromised, but when. We’ve made no appreciable efforts toward corporate information security, and management won’t give be the budget to do it myself
So naturally I’ve been researching Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards on my own, hoping I can find a way to sell the idea to the execs. Perhaps a scary news story will wake them up
The best part is that I’m the one that will miss 3 days of sleep if this all comes crashing down, not them.

The biometric passport is believed to be as a regular passport, with the exception of the computer chip on the radio frequency identification chip.
